Bullying “ is a distinctive pattern of harming and humiliating others, specifically those who are in some way smaller, weaker, younger or in any way more vulnerable than the bully.” ( https://www.psychologytoday.com/basics/bullying) Bullying is a negative action among society that continues to grow, and those that bully are said have a lack of social behavior, they are not worried about anxiety, and do not understand the feelings of those around them. However, they do not see themselves or their actions as negative instead they see themselves as a positive human being. Another factor about bullies is that those who constantly bully tend to have a rocky relationship with their parents or associates. Also bullying is usually done towards those that are seen as weak, such as they are not as confident, and fearful even before the bully confronts them. Sadly bullying is more our of hand now that bullies have internet access to go onto and find the people they are bullying in person and now bully them through the internet.
Although bullying is a constant act seen in schools, online, homes, or even work places there are ways to stop the bullying before it gets out of hands. Such ways consist of:
To take action against bullying by holding groups where people can come together as a anti-bullying group.
Talk with one another- Staying silent about bullying will not help make it any better. Instead inform one another about the signs of bullying and where/if it is happening at your location.
Talk to a parent/guardian- I believe that it is very important to talk about the effects of bullying, what to do if your getting bullied, or talking about why it is very vital your child comes to talk to you if he/she feels he/she is getting bullied, with your children. Especially it is important for the children to remember to speak up to their parents if they are being bullied or know it is happening in their school or location. Because kids or dos people tend to not talk about them being bullied or seeing it happening in fear they might make matters worse, but by being silent it is causing more harm than good. It is good to stand up for oneself and other people who are bullied.
Overall, bullies are not born, but they are created. But bullies can be stopped from bullying before bullying even occurs. By helping your child grow up with going through different experiences where they meet others and obtain their social skills they can learn to converse with others while understanding their feelings, before it is too late.
