StrassenFest!

It may have passed, but from August 3rd to the 6th jasper Indiana had their traditional festival known as StrassenFest. A friend of mine had been and loved it, especially as he pointed out "if you would love to experience so of the German culture, but can not take a trip to Germany you can experience some of Germany's culture through Strassenfest." Their is a beer garden, which you must be 21 to enter, within the beer garden there are tables lined up on each side where you sit and have various beers.

Not only do you get to taste different beers, but you have various booths with different types of food. Such as a pastry booth where you can buy and taste a delicious German chocolate pie or a crème puff:

Or if your not in the mood for pastries there are booths with burgers, hot dogs, or sandwich with German bologna:

The festival plays live music on stage. So while walking around the perimeter of Strassenfest you can listen to live music:

All in all if you find yourself wanting to experience some of the German culture or wanting to find something fun to do, make your way down to StrassenFest! They also have different events going on in StrassenFest, such as StrassenFest bike ride, a parade, fireworks, and more.
