Adam Putnam: A Man That Puts Florida First

An intentional teacher is someone who goes out of their way to help their students and make their class as significant and impactful as they can. They are prepared even when unplanned opportunities arise. However, intentional teachers are not just a school teacher, but an intentional teacher can be anyone, whether a parent, a trainer, or even a candidate for governor, and that candidate is Adam Putnam. Today John Stembrger with Florida Family action endorsed Adam Putnam. I had the opportunity to be at a conference with Mr. Putnam in Orlando, Florida at the Law Offices of John Stemberger and what he talks about shows just how much of an intentional governor he can be.

Mr. Putnam cares for Florida and its people almost as if they were his family. In the conference, he discusses just how much he wants Florida to blossom positively for the citizens and citizens to come. He knows Florida like the back of his hand as Mr. Putnam had informed us he is “a fifth-generation Floridian.” Listening to and watching Adam Putnam at today's conference shows that he is aiming to help continue to build the launchpad for the American dream and to make the dream and Orlando strong. It is not just an inside process, but it must be through both inside work and outside work. Meaning it takes more than just the paperwork that will help make Florida, the American dream, and the community strong but it seems like it is a two-way street. He as our governor will do his part, but the people together must work as a faith-based team. Moreover, Adam Putnam is a man that wants to make changes for the better, but be rational too when it comes to changes and decisions. For instance, when the question was asked about how available marijuana should be to Floridians he was not quick to say anything negative or rash, but he was very rational and understanding with his answer. According to Mr. Putnam “when it comes to medical marijuana, a policy that 70% of Floridians have put into the Constitution, we need to make sure we faithfully adhere to the law and that individuals who qualify to obtain marijuana for conditions that they have should have access to that in a safe and responsible way.” Adam Putnam is not putting down medical marijuana, but he understands and responds with a rational point. According to ProCon.org “The use of cannabis for purposes of healing predates recorded history. The earliest written reference is found in the 15th century BC Chinese Pharmacopeia, the Rh-Ya." This plant has been used for so long to help people with various illnesses and conditions. Adam Putnam understands that, just as he understands and has knowledge as to why he believes marijuana should not expand to recreational use.

All in all, the candidate for governor, Adam Putnam, is an intentional man. Also, a man of faith, community, knowledge, and understanding. Most of all, as a man who supports the importance of family he, too, wants to put a stop to children being pulled from their families.
